I served this cobbler warm with a cup of coffee, and wow, did it taste scrumptious!
You'd never have guessed that it's sugar-free!
If desired, you can use blackberries, or other berries in the place of the berries in the ingredient list. Take advantage of berries that may be ripe locally, or berries that you have in your freezer that you'd like to use!

Ingredients
FOR THE FRUIT BOTTOM
4 apples, peeled and sliced thinly (approx. 3 cups) or frozen apple slices
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup sugar substitute (For Example: "Splenda")
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup orange juice or water
FOR THE COBBLER TOPPING
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar substitute (For Example: "Splenda")
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted)
1 cup milk
Directions
FOR THE FRUIT BOTTOM
Combine the apple slices, raspberries, strawberries, and the raspberries together in a large size mixing bowl.
Sprinkle the orange juice (or water), sugar substitute, and the flour over the apples and berries and toss gently to coat the fruit.
Transfer the fruit to an 8" x 8" or a 9" x 9" greased baking dish.
FOR THE COBBLER TOPPING
Whisk together in a large size bowl, the flour, sugar substitute, baking powder and the salt.
Using a pastry cutter or a fork, cut in the butter, until the mixture becomes "crumbly".
Add the milk to the mixture gradually while stirring mixture until evenly moistened.
Drop, and lightly smoothen the batter over the fruit in the baking dish, using a spoon.
Bake cobbler at 400° F for about 30 - 35 minuts, or until topping is golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
This sugar free apple dessert tastes best when served warm.
Serves about 9 people.
Did You Know?
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is a cliche to encourage regular consumption of fruit such as apples.
Apples are easy to eat, do not need to be peeled (like oranges), do not need to be refrigerated, and are readily available to most households.
Apples, in particular, are health boosters, in that, while different types of fruit have certain health benefits, apples have many proven nutritional health values all in one fruit!
