Recipe #1 - Apple, Pear and Plum Smoothie
6 red and/or dark plums
1 cup water
Peel, core and cut the pear and apple into quarters.
Halve and pit the plums.
Add the pear, apples, plums, and water, into a small pan.
With the lid slightly ajar, cover the pan, and slowly bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Remove mixture from heat and allow to cool, then chill the mixture.
Add the water/fruit mixture to the blender or food processor, and blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses, and serve at once.
Decorate the glasses with slices of apple or pear, or place pieces of fresh fruit on a cocktail stick and place over the mouth of the glass.
Recipe #2 - Apple and Apricot Smoothie
3 1/2 oz. chopped, canned apricots WITH the canned syrup
1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
1/8 tsp. lime juice (or lemon juice)
4 large ice cubes
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. sugar (or Less)
2 tbsp. liquid honey
Place all the above ingredients in a food processor or a blender.
Process for about 30 seconds or until desired consistency has been achieved.
Serve immediately into chilled glasses.
Recipe #3 - Apple and Peach Smoothie
2 cups canned peach halves or slices WITH all the canned syrup
2 cups plain yogurt (vanilla or natural)
6 ice cubes
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. granulated sugar
4 tbsp. liquid honey
Peel, core and chop the apples.
Place all the ingredients in a blender or a food processor, and blend for about 30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth.
Pour into chilled glasses, and serve immediately.
Recipe #4 - Apple and Pear Smoothie
2 tbsp. seeds (sesame or sunflower or flaxseed or mixed seeds)
2 cups milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Core, peel, and chop the pears.
Add the prepared fruit and all other ingredients to a blender or food processor, and blend for about 20 - 30 seconds, or until smooth.
Pour into glasses, and serve immediately.
