Decorated Sliced Apple Stacks
thick slices of apple, unpeeled
crunchy or smooth peanut butter or almond butter
liquid honey for drizzling
pecan pieces, almond slices, and/or other sliced or chopped nuts
Spread the peanut butter or the almond butter over the thick apple slices.
Top with the banana slices.
Add pecan pieces and other nuts, optional.
Drizzle the tops with honey.
Pile them up to make an apple snack stack!
Honey Apple Snack Mix
8 cups of a combinations of: woven wheat cereal squares, pieces of rice cakes, pretzel sticks, unsalted peanuts and pecan pieces.
sprinkling of brown sugar
sprinkling of garlic powder
sprinkling of chili powder
sprinkling of salt
1/3 cup applesauce
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. liquid honey
In a large size bowl, toss the cereal mixture with the brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
Heat and stir the applesauce, butter and liquid honey together in the microwave (do not over heat), just to melt.
Stir the butter mixture into the cereal mixture until well coated.
Transfer to a cookie baking sheet, and bake at 325° F or until golden.
