Healthy Drinks with Apple and Citrus Fruits


Breakfast and Brunch Smoothies like this collection make healthy beverages with citrus and apple that will give you a burst of flavour!

Both of these recipes make 2 servings, so if you are making smoothie drinks for more people, simply adjust the ingredients accordingly.

Recipe #1 - Apple and Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients

2 apples
1 medium size can of pineapple (slices or tidbits) in juice
12 ice cubes
3 tbsp. orange
juice

Directions

Peel, core and chop the apples.

Add all ingredients to a blender or a food processor, and blend until mixture is smooth.

Pour into chilled glasses, and serve immediately.

Serves 2.







Recipe #2 - Morning Burst Smoothie

Ingredients

2 oranges
2 bananas
2 apples
6 tbsp. orange juice
ice cubes and water

Directions

Peel, core and chop the fruit as required.

Add the prepared fruit to a blender or a food processor.

Add the orange juice and part of the water, and blend for about 20 seconds.

Add water and ice as necessary to attain desired texture and consistency.

Pour into chilled glasses, and serve immediately.

Serves 2.


Recipe #3 - Tropical Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients

2 cups of chopped orange segments
1 large or 2 small apples, cored and chopped
1 banana, sliced
5 oz. of tropical juice
6 ice cubes

Directions

Place the prepared fruit and all other ingredients into a blender or a food processor and process for about 30 seconds until smooth.

Pour into chilled glasses, and serve immediately.

Serves 2.







Recipe #4 - Yogurt Brunch Smoothie

Ingredients

2 apples
1 banana
1 1/2 cups yogurt (your choice)
1 cup orange juice
3/4 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)

Directions

Core, peel (optional), and slice the apple.

Slice banana.

Wash berries if they are fresh.

Add all ingredients to a food processor or a blender, and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.

Pour into chilled glasses, and serve immediately.

Serves 2.
